Return Policy
Requesting a return
All returns require a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number issued by Mechanical Materials before the item is sent back. Request one at parts@mechanicalmaterials.com or 800-323-7505 with your order number and the reason for return. Items received without an RMA will be refused.
Return window
Requests must be made within thirty (30) calendar days of delivery or will call pickup.
Condition
Returned items must be new, unopened, unused, uninstalled, and in resalable condition. Items showing evidence of installation, modification, or field handling are not eligible for return.
Restocking
Approved returns are subject to a 35% restocking fee. Return freight is the customer’s responsibility unless the return results from a Mechanical Materials error.
Items that cannot be returned
- Special-order and non-stock items procured specifically for your order. Custom and specially engineered orders are non-returnable and non-refundable.
- Electrical and electronic components once sealed antistatic packaging has been opened — controllers, circuit boards, drives, and similar.
- Safety-related components, including governors, safeties, and suspension members.
- Obsolete, new-old-stock, and rebuilt items, which are sold as-is.
- Any item that has been installed in equipment.
If we made the error
If we shipped the wrong item, or the item was defective on arrival, contact us within five (5) business days. We will issue an RMA, pay the return freight, and either replace the item or refund it in full. No restocking fee applies.
Refunds
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within ten (10) business days of our receipt and inspection of the returned item.
